Guide Viewer Terms
Last Updated:September 16, 2026
These terms apply to you if you are viewing a benefits guide that was built and published with the Belong Benefits platform (a “Guide”). Guides are published by an insurance broker or employer (the “Publisher”) using software provided by Belong Benefits Incorporated (“Belong Benefits,” “we,” “us”). By viewing a Guide or using the tools on it, you agree to these terms.
1. Who published the Guide
Belong Benefits provides the software. The Publisher chose the plans, entered or verified the plan details, rates, and contributions, and decided who can view the Guide. Questions about your benefits, your eligibility, or how to enroll should go to your employer’s benefits contact or the broker named on the Guide, not to Belong Benefits.
2. The Guide is a summary, not the plan
A Guide summarizes plan information to help you understand your options. It is not an insurance policy, a plan document, a certificate of coverage, or a Summary of Benefits and Coverage. If anything in a Guide differs from the official plan documents, the official plan documents control. The Publisher, not Belong Benefits, is responsible for the accuracy of the information in a Guide.
3. No advice
Belong Benefits is a technology company. We are not an insurance company, broker, agent, or advisor. Nothing on a Guide, including responses from Ask Bel, is legal, tax, medical, financial, or insurance advice, and nothing on a Guide recommends that you buy or decline any coverage.
4. Ask Bel and other tools
Some Guides include Ask Bel, an AI assistant that answers questions about the plans on that Guide, and tools such as cost estimators and plan comparisons. These tools use artificial intelligence and arithmetic based on the information the Publisher entered. Their output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Use them to understand your options, then confirm anything that matters with the official plan documents or your benefits contact.
Please do not enter medical records, diagnoses, claim details, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive personal information into Ask Bel. It does not need that information to answer questions about a plan, and it is not designed to hold it. How we handle the questions you do ask is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share a password-protected Guide or its password with anyone the Publisher did not intend to have it.
- Copy, scrape, or republish a Guide other than for your own personal use in choosing your benefits.
- Attempt to access another employer’s Guide, another person’s information, or any part of the Belong Benefits platform you were not given access to.
- Interfere with the operation or security of a Guide or the platform.
6. Intellectual property
The software, design, templates, and Ask Bel belong to Belong Benefits. The plan information and branding on a Guide belong to the Publisher, its clients, or the insurance carriers. You may view and print a Guide for your personal use in reviewing your benefits.
7. Availability
A Publisher can change, password-protect, or take down a Guide at any time. Belong Benefits does not promise that any Guide will remain available, and a Guide may become unavailable when the Publisher’s subscription ends.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Guides and the tools on them are provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Belong Benefits disclaims all warranties and will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of a Guide or reliance on anything in it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
